The Project: Joan was launching a production company in the Ohio entertainment industry. She needed a visual identity system to use online (social media and her website). It need to reflect her personality and business vision. Intuitive Mind Studio increases visibility of black plus-sized women in mainstream media.

The Approach:

Joan explained her business mission, vision, and goals. She described what she wanted to see elements of in her final product.

Since the name has to do with the mind and using your intuition as a person, I want those symbols represented… I would like [my client and audience] to feel euphoric, excited, and confident [when they see my brand].

I analyzed the look and feel of other production companies by location and that appeal to her target audience. Mindful of her budget and timeline, I detailed a few similarities and shared with her how brand could stand out.

Joan decided which version she loved. All visual identity guidelines, templates, and file version were shared directly to Joan in a zipped folder. I also explained the difference between the digital and print-ready files.

Reflections
